Portals Nous was established in the 1930s and is oozing with charm, although there is little evidence of its history due to massive investment over the past few decades, Portals nous maintains the feel of a small, safe, and welcoming Spanish village.
Portals Nous has a large number of restaurants, shops, hair & beauty salons, and much more. One of our favourite restaurants in Portals Nous is Chameli's, offering fantastic, traditional Spanish food with an excellent wine selection and unbeatable atmosphere- so good, it can be difficult to get a table, so book early. The waiting staff are attentive and charming. No Portals Nous holiday is complete without at least one Paella from Chameli's.

In the middle of the bay of Palma de Mallorca, located just 10 km from the centre of Palma and 16 km from the airport, this beautiful marina has an exclusive shopping area with restaurants, bars, fashion boutiques, nautical companies, jewellery shops, perfume shops, hair salons, estate agents and much more.
Visiting Puerto Portals is never a disappointment, regardless of the time of year. This is due to their variety of nautical-themed events, such as the Dragon Winter Race or the Sailing Week, part of the TP52 SUPER SERIES international circuit, the Classic Island Mallorca Rally, an international motor racing benchmark, or the beautiful Christmas Market. With so much going on, Puerto Portals has become an attractive venue all year round.
Portals Nous beach
Playa Oratori
Just a few minute's walk from the front door of your private villa you’ll find Portals Nous Beach, Playa Oratori. This beach is incredibly popular due to its sheer beauty, convenience, and amenities. Perfect for a family, this beach and adjoining marina offer restaurants, bars, shops and well maintained public toilets,
Due to Playa Oratori being sheltered by its island and the Puerto Portals harbour wall, the turquoise waters are usually crystal clear and provide excellent visibility for snorkelling.
Visiting the small island is a fun adventure, swim out, kayak or rent a pedal boat from the beach and explore.
The sailing school is also accessible from Portals Beach, here you can join in group sailing tuition, get private sessions or simply rent a small sailing boat, kayaks or paddleboards. This is an option for all age groups and an excellent, fun way for kids to spend their summer mornings.
Roxy Beach
On the far side of Portals Beach, you’ll find the most picturesque beach hut, right on the waterfront, tucked into the rocks. Sit with your feet dangling in the sea whilst enjoying a freshly prepared Sangria. There’s nothing better than sitting here to catch the evening sun and a refreshing sea breeze before heading back to the villa for a barbecue.

Exploring Mallorca
If you are looking to rent a car whilst in Mallorca and go exploring (which we would suggest you do for at least one day), then we can't recommend offUgo Car rental enough, they offer an excellent, professional service with well-maintained cars, great prices and the best of all, there's no dodgy hidden fees or mileage limits. They also offer a pickup and collection service.
If you are interested in exploring more of the southwest/ west side of Mallorca then you’ll find the motorway ( the Ma-1) – which is convenient for our villa, will take you from Portals Nous to Andratx in 22 minutes, passing Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa, and Paguera whilst en route. All of which are unique places to visit and worth stopping in. You can drive through each of these towns by following the coast road.
From Andratx, you can follow the Ma-10 to access some of the most incredible driving roads in the world. Here you will find yourself on the coastal road roughly 500 metres above sea level running from Andratx to Soller. You can take this route further to the north side of the island, this route is incredibly popular for keen cyclists, motorcyclists, and drivers alike. Be careful on this road as you may find yourself face to face with a bus around any corner.

This tight and twisty road offers constant stunning views. There are plenty of interesting stops along the way, so ideally allow all day. The road will give you endless views of the Tramuntana mountain range and the sea while driving through numerous pretty villages.
You’ll find several traditional Spanish restaurants along the way so be sure to take advantage of these.
If you are looking to explore more of Mallorca, then the island has a convenient motorway system that allows access to the whole island. This is easily accessed from our Portals Villa.

With our villa being a short walk from any necessary amenities, having a car during your stay isn’t essential but it will be if you are looking to do some exploring as mentioned before.
The other benefit in our current situation is that our Portals Nous Villa is completely Covid-19 friendly, we go to great lengths to ensure our villa is completely sanitized in between having guests stay. We want to ensure you have complete peace of mind by completely disinfecting our villa, cleaning every single surface, disinfecting upholstery, and cleaning filters in air conditioning units to mention a few. Golfing in Mallorca
Looking to do some golfing whilst in Mallorca? Staying in your private villa in Portals Nous puts you right at the fingertips of some of the island's incredible 19, 18-hole golf courses. For those of you wanting to get a game in locally, our Villa is a 5-minute drive from both Lindner Golf Resort and Real Golf de Bendinat, both beautiful courses. If you are looking to venture to some of the other many golf courses on the island, our villa is conveniently located to access these via the motorway. Golf clubs can be hired on-site if needed. Our villa in Portals Nous also comes with a locked garage for those of you who would like to safely store their golf clubs whilst on holiday.
Cycling in Mallorca
As mentioned before, Mallorca lends itself incredibly well for cycling, so much so that it is used as a training camp by many professional teams in preparation for The Tour De France. The perfectly maintained roads and spectacular scenery make Mallorca a number one destination for any cycling enthusiast. With our Villa in Portals Nous having a secure garage and driveway, you’ll be able to enjoy your cycling holiday in complete peace of mind, knowing your pride and joy is locked away safely at night. Portals Nous is also perfectly positioned to embrace some of Mallorca’s finest cycling routes.
Visit Vineyards
With such a generous climate, Mallorca lends itself perfectly to possess optimal vine growing conditions. (As you will notice when you visit our villa, there is a grapevine growing along the back fence). With over 24 different vineyards on Mallorca to choose from to visit, you won’t be lacking in choice.
Visit waterparks.
10 minutes along the road from the villa you’ll find Western Waterpark, a water park, located on the outskirts of Magaluf. The park is theatrically themed, based on the wild west. The waterpark itself consists of three areas: Western Land, Indian Town, and El Paso. The park also has the eleventh-highest slide in the world named The Beast. This waterpark is perfect for groups of all ages as it is not only a waterpark but throughout the day there are numerous themed events, various shows from an exciting diving show to see some of the world’s most dangerous birds of prey in action and more. The waterpark also has several restaurants, bars, and a lazy river for an afternoon kip.
Go-Karting.
Just opposite the waterpark, you will find one of Mallorca’s most popular Go-Karting tracks. Go-karts and tracks are suitable for all age groups.
For those of you looking for a bit more driving fun then you can follow the motorway to Lluc Major where you’ll find Circuit Mallorca, Mallorca’s racing track. Here you’ll also be able to hire go-karts but also enjoy several unique driving experiences in a range of sports cars on track. Here you’ll also be able to get in touch with nature with an off-road driving experience. All of this is within 20 minutes of our Portals Nous villa.

Over the years, we have been hard at work cultivating the garden to become the luscious landscape that it is today. Throughout the grounds, you will catch various aromas coming from the various herbs and fruit trees.
As you stroll through the gardens, you’ll find lemons, apricots, oranges, peaches, pears, mandarins, sage, rosemary, chillies, basil, thyme, grapes and plums. We strongly encourage our guests to help themselves to the fruit and use the herbs available when preparing meals.
Again, at the end of a long but enjoyable day, there is sometimes nothing better than just sitting in the evening sun of your private villa with a gin and tonic with a slice of lemon fresh from our tree, surrounded by nature.
