Easy and quick access to the motorway and great connection to explore the whole island.
Whilst not essential, it might be a consideration to rent a car to be able to do some sight-seeing on the stunning island and explore Mallorca’s beautiful capital city of Palma that is only a 10 or 15 minute drive away, approximately 9km. This lively city is full of restaurants, bars, great shops and sights, such as the impressive cathedral of Palma and much more.

About Portals Nous
Portals Nous is a small, relaxed little town west of Palma. Thanks to its location, just 12km from the capital and only a short walk from the glitzy marina of Puerto Portals, it's a popular choice with both holidaymakers and residents who fondly refer to it as the ‘village’.
It is a very international area with a lovely sense of community all year round. The main high street is focused along Carretera d'Andratx and has all the essential shops catering for your everyday needs including a great independent supermarket selling a large variety of both local and international products and an excellent wine selection. A newsagent, banks, car hire, hair, nail and beauty salons, pharmacy and a variety of restaurants and bar/cafés.
From Portals Nous, there is easy access to the two beaches, a small bay called Cala Bendinat, and the larger, more well-known Playa Oratorio more commonly known as Portals beach. Playa Oratorio offers 2 great beach bars serving a good variety of food and drink as well as water sports rentals. Playa Oratorio is connected to the port, where you'll find a marina full of beautiful yachts and further varied dining options and If you're after luxury designer shopping then Puerto Portals is where to go.
